Apple Pie Spiced Yogurt Bowl with Crunchy Granola

This yogurt bowl is a nutritious, protein-rich take on the classic flavors of homemade apple pie. The warm, cinnamon-spiced apples add natural sweetness and a cozy aroma, while the chilled Greek yogurt provides a creamy and slightly tangy contrast. Adding steel-cut oats makes this breakfast extra filling, and the granola on top gives it a satisfying crunch.

Ingredients:

- ½ cup plain Greek yogurt

- ¼ cup cooked steel-cut oats (chilled)

- ½ apple, diced

- ½ teaspoon cinnamon

- ¼ teaspoon nutmeg

- 1 tablespoon almond butter

- 2 tablespoons granola (homemade or store-bought)

- 1 teaspoon maple syrup or honey

Instructions:

1. Sauté the apples with warming spices – In a small pan over medium heat, add the diced apple along with cinnamon and nutmeg. Stir occasionally and let them cook for 3–4 minutes, just until they become slightly softened and release their aroma. Remove from heat and let them cool slightly.

2. Prepare the yogurt base – In a serving bowl, stir together the Greek yogurt and chilled steel-cut oats until evenly combined. The oats add a heartier texture and make this bowl extra filling.

3. Layer on the toppings – Spoon the warm, spiced apples over the yogurt-oat mixture. Then, drizzle almond butter over the top for a creamy contrast.

4. Add crunch and sweetness – Sprinkle granola over everything for texture, and if you like, finish with a light drizzle of maple syrup or honey for an extra touch of sweetness.

5. Serve and enjoy immediately – This bowl offers the perfect balance of flavors and textures, making it a comforting yet refreshing way to start your day.
