My Journey:
From an early age, I was captivated by the potential of food—not merely as a source of fuel, but as a safeguard against illness. While the world was busy focusing on curing diseases, I quickly discovered the true power of nutrition and felt a strong pull to dive in and learn everything I could. This newfound passion sparked a curiosity that led me down some quirky paths, like decoding nutrition labels as if they were treasure maps or experimenting with zucchini bread, leaving my family members bewildered as they watched me present a loaf that had a mysterious green hue.
This fascination quickly blossomed into a deep passion, leading me to complete a Bachelor of Science in Food, Nutrition, and Health (Honors) at the University of British Columbia, where I majored in Dietetics. To officially become a registered dietitian, I completed my practicum with the Island Health Authority, traveling across the stunning Vancouver Island from Victoria to Campbell River. During my practicum, I was fortunate enough to experience the island's lush forests and breathtaking coastline all while gaining hands-on experience in everything from oncology, renal nutrition, and diabetes care to ICU, geriatrics, cardiac health, and, of course, disease prevention.
As of recent, I have been refining my knowledge in geriatric medical nutrition therapy and dysphagia management, working in various long-term care homes in Vancouver, where I've learned that sometimes the best therapy is simply making meals people truly enjoy.
My Approach:
With all the knowledge I've gained as a registered dietitian, I'm excited to share what I've learned and help you navigate the often overwhelming world of nutrition. Let's be real—nutrition advice is everywhere, and it's often as tricky as trying to read a cookbook written in a foreign language. One website says fats are your enemy, the next claims they're the golden ticket to good health.
That's where I come in. My approach is simple but impactful:
- Personalized Plans: I provide tailored advice that's specifically designed to meet your unique health goals and preferences.

My Philosophies:
For me, true nutrition is about more than just following a meal plan—it's about understanding how food fuels and nurtures your body. I'm passionate about helping you gain the knowledge to make informed, mindful choices that boost your energy and support your long-term health. I want you to leave each session not only with practical advice but with a deeper understanding of how nutrition fits into your life, empowering you to make decisions on your own.
I also believe that setting clear, written goals is a powerful tool for success. Writing down your goals is the first step in transforming them into tangible, achievable actions. My goal is to help you formulate realistic, actionable goals that align with your unique health journey. Together, we'll break these goals into manageable steps and create a clear, actionable plan, ensuring that you stay motivated and continue moving forward toward lasting health and wellness.
“A dream written down with a date becomes a goal. A goal broken down into steps becomes a plan. A plan backed by action makes your dreams come true.” - Greg Reid
